* Set aside a specific time each day to spend practicing the piano. Also, set aside time to play for fun, too. * Set goals for your practice times, (i.e. practice every day for 15 minutes, or learn a new song in the next month.) * Reward yourself for meeting your goals! * Isolate difficult sections of the music, rather than trying to play the whole song straight through. * Leave your music sitting out on your piano. It will remind you to play, even if it is just for a few minutes. * Occasionally, go back and play something you used to play a long time ago. See how much easier it is to play. * Be encouraged with the progress that you are making!
